Hatha Yoga |
About Cait.Cait is trained in Hatha yoga and studied primary at Ahimsa in Huntsville, Ontario. She teaches a range of classes from restorative, gentleness to a more vigorous flow. She has studied Ayurveda at the Kairali Hospital in Kerala, India, as well as the California College of Ayurveda.
Cait believes in yoga as one of our greatest tools for self discovery and self knowledge - a pathway to knowing the deepest truths within our hearts. In her classes, she aims to create a playful, safe environment that respects where each student is in their practice & body and meets them there. Her approach is kind and compassionate to give our bodies the chance to speak and be heard, to be respected and revered. With her training in Ayurvedic medicine, she guides her classes from an understanding of daily and seasonal rhythms, staying connected to the world around us. With the practice of yoga, we have the chance to know ourselves deeply and truly. With that knowledge, we have the opportunity to become the very medicine that will help us heal. We are our own healers. She and her beautiful wife, Tara, are the owners of Love Pottery & The Open Space. They became mothers in 2017 with the birth of their son Jude and, less than a year later, they welcome their daughter Rae. Cait's home is in Dorset but her travellers' heart bring her elsewhere when an adventure presents itself. Stay tuned for upcoming retreat abroad! |
Kids Clay Class |
About Tara.Tara connects with her natural surroundings to create relaxed pottery in the heart of Dorset, Ontario. She began her full-time commitment to clay when she opened formerly Chetolah Pottery Studio and recently renamed Love Pottery in May of 2007. During the spring, summer and fall months, Tara, works, teaches and sells pottery out her restored barn where she lives with her wife, Cait and 2 children. The winter months have been spent travelling, gathering inspiration and creating outside of the home studio. Her love of travel has inspired creative projects in Southern India, Colorado and most recently Guatemala. Her clay work consists mostly of practical stoneware items like bowls, platters, tumblers and mugs, but it also includes decorative tiles, lanterns and jewellery. Everything is electric fired in her studio but she also loves getting involved with other methods like wood, soda and raku when invitations exist and time allows.
