Gentle/Moderate Yoga:Starting with a deep relaxation, the practice will include gentle yoga poses that will build on each other to free the spine, calm the mind and expand the breath. Participants will begin on the mat, move to hands and knees, to standing and balancing poses and ending with a return to the mat for a short mindful meditation.
Moderate Yoga: A moderately paced Hatha class with a focus on creating space in the body, as well as increasing strength. We'll approach postures gradually, giving time to pause and digest each pose. Designed for individuals of any level with variations provided throughout to suit each student’s physical capabilities. Suitable for all levels.
Flow Yoga: A dynamic practice that flows through various sequences, connecting the breath to each movement. While focusing on alignment and fluid movement, students can experience freedom from attaining the ‘perfect pose’. Suitable for students with some experience in yoga as the class can move quite quickly.
Pilates Jam: A full body experience, combining Pilates inspired movements and a touch of HIIT*. A sweat and a smile may follow. The "burn" means it's changing...embrace it! This class can be taken at ones own pace so all levels are welcome! - modifications will be demonstrated when available. *HIIT = High Intensity Interval Training; a cardiovascular strategy alternating short periods of high intensity aerobic exercise with less intense recovery periods (e.g. 30 seconds of high knees; 15 seconds of rest)
Moderate Joyful Yoga: Just as the name entails, the purpose of this class is to use the tools of yoga to bring a little more joy to your day and compassion towards yourself. The class style will predominantly be a light vinyasa flow with variations based on student preference, experience and specific needs. It will be a combination of breathwork, strengthening, lengthening and deep relaxation, all the while practicing within the safe limits and alignment of our bodies. All levels of yogis are welcome to join.
Yoga Barre:This hybrid class is a perfect pairing: yoga and barre. This class will get you flowing through yoga sequences designed to warm and tone the body, combined with ballet barre work and ending with longer stretches. You're getting the best of both in one class!
Kids Clay Class: This class focuses on learning simple hand building techniques, while encouraging each child's own imagination to run free. Participants will construct and paint a finished piece by the end of the class. Clay pieces are left at the studio to be dried, glazed and fired. They are available for pick up the following Saturday. A healthy snack will be provided halfway through the class.
